Favorite Smoothies

I hear all the time that it’s so difficult to get in an adequate amount of fruits and veggies in a day.  And I get it.  My husband doesn’t like any fruits or veggies raw (except bananas), and I struggle to eat a lot of fruit in the day as well.  But there IS a way to get in multiple servings.  Smoothies!!

I love to make a protein, veggie/fruit-filled smoothie as a mid-morning snack.  All you need is some almond milk (or low-fat milk, coconut milk, almond milk), a cup of veggies, a cup of fruit, and some protein powder.  Throw it all in the blender and you have a quick, easy, and healthy snack!

The best part about smoothies is they are easily adaptable to what produce you have on hand!  Here are my top three favorite smoothie recipes:

Berry-Cauliflower:
1. 1/4 cup mixed frozen berries
2. 1 cup almond milk
3. 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower
4. 1/2 banana
5. 1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder

Blueberry-Banana:
1. 1/4 cup frozen blueberries
2. 1 cup almond milk
3. 1/2 banana
4. 1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
5. 1 teaspoon flax seed

Spinach-Strawberry:
1. 1/4 cup frozen strawberries
2. 1 cup almond milk
3. 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower
4. 1/2 banana
5. 1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
